If you're into the Mayans, you might like this eBook that I just put up on the web:

If you dig it, maybe you can add me to your blog roll? I can reciprocate with a link on my links page if you'd like.

Hey Eduardo,

Just to say I have really enjoyed reading your blog posts on the whole area. It's nice to see someone taking the time to really tell people what it is like in Quintana Roo. With regards to Playa del Carmen, I can't believe how fast it has grown! I was offered a piece of land by the beach in 1999 20,000 usd - wish i had bought it now!!

I agree Chichen Itza is an amazing day out. Although if you don't like to do a lot of walking then the ruins at Tulum are also nice, and there are some interesting stories to learn about them as well. Chichen Itza is also great at night. I love it!

I enjoyed the article. I am interested in getting some pictorial representations of the mayan script of Nace el Fuego. Like pictures or drawings of the representation of the name. If you have any of these or know where to get some could you email me back? Thanks.

ps. Fire is Born = coolest name ever

The first time I went to the ruins I walked around on my own and just marvelled at the view, but the second time I got a guide. I have to say that he was brilliant and would strongly recommend hiring one for an hour, around 60 bucks. It made all the differnce!!!
